Effective 15 October 2026. This policy covers the Receipt Sleeve iPhone app and this website, operated by OrbonTech.

What the app stores

The app stores the merchant or title, purchase date, optional amount and currency, folders, notes, return dates and receipt images you choose to save. This data stays on your device in the app’s private storage, protected by iOS file protection. We never receive it, and we have no server to receive it on.

Camera and selected photos

Camera permission is requested only when you choose to scan, and the camera is used only for the Apple VisionKit document scanner. The system photo picker gives the app only the images you select; it does not give access to your photo library. When you import an image, the app downscales and re-encodes it, and photo metadata such as location is stripped. Manual entry remains available if you do not allow camera access.

Return reminders

Optional reminders are local notifications that require your permission. They are scheduled from return dates you enter, and the notification text does not include the merchant or amount. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Receipt Sleeve is free to download and includes 25 receipts. A one-time in-app purchase removes that limit. Apple processes purchases and restores through StoreKit under its own policies. The app reads the verified entitlement from Apple to unlock unlimited receipts. We do not receive your payment details or Apple Account information.

Exports and backups

PDF, CSV and full backup (.receiptsleeve) files are created only when you ask, and contain the receipts you select. They go to the destination you choose in the share sheet or Files, and that destination has its own privacy practices. Backup files are not password-encrypted by Receipt Sleeve, so store them somewhere you trust. Temporary export files are kept in protected app storage and cleared on the next app launch. iCloud and device backups are made by Apple according to your device settings and may include the app’s data.

Deletion and retention

Your library remains on your device until you delete receipts, replace the library by restoring a backup, or delete the app. Deleting a receipt removes its details and image files. Deleting the app deletes its local data. Copies you exported, and device or iCloud backups, must be managed separately. Keep a full backup before deleting the app.

Children

Receipt Sleeve is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, because the app collects no personal information.

This website

This website has no analytics, cookies, forms, external fonts or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and requested page, for security and operations.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
